As reported this afternoon, former Chicago Bears punter Trenton Gill has signed with the Broncos just 2 weeks after being released by the Bears:
Gill was drafted by the Bears as their 7th-round draft pick in the 2022 draft.
Since joining the team ahead of the 2022 season, Gill has been the starting punter for the Bears, but after this off-seasons draft, the team is moving on.
The Bears drafted Iowa punter Tory Taylor with their 4th-round selection in the 2024 draft. Due to them selecting a punter, everyone knew that Gill's time in Chicago was coming to an end.
Gill is set to become the new starting punter of the Broncos.
