In week 13 of the 2017 NFL season, the NFL world witnessed one of the scariest injuries in league history, which ended the career of a 2-time Pro Bowler.
After making a head on tackle, Shazier lied on the field grabbing his back, and calling for help. He then continued to lie with his back on the field, unable to move his legs. After being taken to the hospital, it was revealed that he suffered from a spinal contusion, which then required surgery.
