Harry was traded out of New England in July in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick, almost a year after formally requesting a trade from the Patriots. The 2019 first-round pick had not seen as much action as many people expected in his three years with the team and was just never able to find his place within the offense, collecting just 57 catches for 598 yards while in Foxborough.
«I got one injury update,» Eberflus said at the start of his news conference. «N'Keal Harry, as you guys know, injured his ankle and no timetable to return. But we have to state that based on our rules that we have for training camp. It is an ankle.»
Typically, high-ankle sprains have a six-week timetable for return. However, WR Darnell Mooney just gave us hope that Harry's timetable for return might be shorter than previously expected.
While Mooney said he knows the timetable for Harry's return, he wouldn't reveal it to reporters. But, he did say he was «happy» about the news, which is good news for the Bears. I'm sure Mooney would have not been happy with Harry missing 6 weeks!
