Since being drafted into the NFL back in 2013, QB Geno Smith appeared to be a mediocre QB who will likely spend his career as a backup.

After several years serving as backups in the NFL, the Seahawks named Smith as their starter in 2022 after the team traded away Russel Wilson.

Though this choice came as a surprise to many due to Smith's lousy performances all of his career, this ended up turning into a perfect choice.

Smith finished the 2022 season with a career high in completions, passings yards, and touchdowns. He finished with a total of 399 completions on 572 attempts, 4,282 passing yards, and 30 touchdown passes, along with a trip to the playoffs.

Smith was then named as a Pro Bowler, the NFL completion percentage leader, and NFL Comeback Player of the Year. This season brought new life into Smith's career, but he didn't do this all on his own.

Someone who helped create this new stardom in Smith was his offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

Waldron helped Smith go from a mediocre washed up player to a pro bowler, and now, he is most likely joining the Bears.

Waldron focuses on his QBs, and if he can fix Smith's career, imagine what he can do on the Bears?
