The Bears signed offensive lineman Lucas Patrick last week. He will be reuniting with former OC Luke Getsy. The deal is 2 years, $8 million with $4 million guaranteed.

We have heard nothing but great stuff about him ever since he got signed. That stats say he is a great player and the interview are flawless. Patrick could really become a fan favorite for a while in Chicago.

Here is another fact that could make you love him even more:

Daniel Greenberg reported that "Lucas Patrick told Larry Mayer that he had 10-12 teams show interest in him in free agency but he chose the Bears because he thought it would be the perfect fit."

Lucas: "I'm used to winning and that's what I'm bringing. We're going to win games."

He knows that the Packers' franchise is on a downslide and he seems to love what he sees in the new Bears' regime.

In 2021 he allowed 21 pressures and finished third in ESPN's run-blocking win rate measurement. Patrick can lineup at any of the interior positions, in 2020 he was ESPN's sixth-best pass-blocking guard. He has started 28 games in the last 2 seasons and has spent his first five seasons in Green Bay where he started as an undrafted free agent.

He mentioned that he expects to play the center position. This position was occupied by several players last year including Sam Mustipher and Cody Whitehair. It would be nice to have Patrick play the center spot, and for the whole season!

Patrick is a tremendous player and he could turn out to be a true steal at this price tag.

In addition to that, after doing some extended research, I found out that his attitude toward both life and football is so remarkable.
