The Carolina Panthers waived Mayfield on Monday, something interim coach Steve Wilks said was a mutual agreement between the two sides. Wilks said Mayfield asked to be released after finding out he wouldn't be the starting quarterback or backup in Carolina going forward.
The Rams will inherit the remaining $1.35 million on Mayfield's contract.
Well, I truly think Bears fans should be very happy about this move. The reason is that the Rams are one of the worst teams in the league this season, record-wise.

Well, if baker Mayfeidl can help the Rams win a few more games, this could make sure that they have a better record than the Bears and it would help Chicago's draft pick. The Bears are currently projected to have the 2nd overall pick with their 3-10 record. The Rams have a 3-9 as we speak.
