Here's Why Justin Fields' 5-20 Record with the Bears is NOT his Fault

The most common diss people throw at Bears fans is the fact that so far in Bears QB Justin Fields' career, he has a 5-20 record. In 25 games starting, Fields has only won 5 of those, and all the blame goes to him.

Even though Fields is the easy one to blame, people forget that almost none of it was his fault.

Before Fields was drafted, the Bears were no of a special team, at least for the past couple of years. The year before Fields was drafted, the Bears went 8-8. Yes, they did get into the playoffs, but 8-8 is not something to celebrate over.

Also, in 2022, when Fields was putting up very solid stats, the Bears led the league as the WORST scoring defense. Fields does not play when the defense is on, so obviously this has nothing to do with him.

If you're going to blame someone for the bad Bears seasons these past 2 years, think of someone else, because it is not Fields' fault.

It doesn't matter if you love him or hate him, fans and viewers need to understand that Fields is a good QB, and has the opportunity to be great. With the right system and a few solid players around him, Fields could become one of the top QBs in the NFL.
