The common trend this offseason has been running backs speaking up about their salaries. Recently, star running backs; Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, and Austin Ekeler have expressed their anger and disappointment when it comes to how their position is treated.

A couple of weeks ago, 49ers star Christian McCaffrey voiced his concerns while on "The Rich Eisen Show." McCaffrey told Eisen:

"Somewhere along the line, the running back position has been undervalued, in my opinion, for what they're asked to do. And I think there are a lot of guys that are scared to speak up about that for multiple reasons. I don't know when the value of a yard got diminished. . ."

And more recently, Giants star Saquon Barkley is fighting the salary issues, as he refuses to sign a deal unless it's worth the amount he thinks he deserves. The Giants offered Barkley a $19.5 million guaranteed deal, but he is not pleased with that. Barkley sees his teammate and quarterback Daniel Jones getting the big deal, with a four-year contract worth $160 million, so Barkley wants the same.

Raiders' Josh Jacobs may not be seen in week 1 of the season, as he has also not closed on a deal. The offers are not satisfying to him, so like Barkley, he will wait until he gets the offer he wants.

And lastly, Chargers' Austin Ekeler opened up to Rich Eisen and expressed his feelings. Ekeler sees his wide receiver teammates making more then him, and he is not okay with that. Ekeler said:

"If I'm looking at some of the backup receivers out here that are still making more than me, that's going to p*** me off, right"

All 4 of these RBs want the respect they deserve, and the contracts that are offered to RBs are not acceptable. They should be one of the highest paid positions, but instead, they are one of the lowest.
