However, Jordan Schultz has expressed skepticism about this becoming a reality. He believes that Kevin Warren, the president and CEO of the Bears, may hinder Harbaugh's return to the NFL due to their reportedly strained relationship.
Before this season, Warren served as the commissioner of the Big Ten Conference, during which time he witnessed Harbaugh's success in transforming the Wolverines into a formidable team. Currently, the Wolverines are contenders for the national championship, and some believe that a victory could increase the likelihood of Harbaugh considering an NFL return.
Harbaugh initially entered the NFL in the 2011 season, taking charge of the San Francisco 49ers, a team that had struggled for most of the 2000s. Under his leadership, the 49ers quickly became a dominant defensive force, reaching the NFC Championship Game in each of his first three seasons and even making it to Super Bowl XLVII.
Should Harbaugh decide to make an NFL comeback, numerous teams are expected to express interest in securing his services.
