Here it is:
While I'm not sure what the change of the profile picture truly means, I think he has a great point that Long has said in the past that he would be willing to come back to the Bears under a different regime. With literally a new coach at every position and a new GM as well, I guess it's safe to say it's not the same regime as it was when he left the Bears back in 2019.
I'm not entirely sure what his health is now. He has been so unlucky with injuries in recent years. Long originally retired when he left Chicago but he then decided to come back to play with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Technically, Long hasn't played in an NFL game since the 2019 season. He retired in 2020 and attempted to come back a year later in 2021, signing with the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal in March 2021. His return was cut short, however. Long sustained a knee injury during a June 10 practice, which landed him on the physically unable to perform list. He was eventually activated in late November of last year, but he never saw the field.
He is, however, only 33 years old at this point. If he is able to stay healthy, I'm sure he could be a great addition to the Bears line. He might not be a starter come week 1, but he could be an amazing mentor for the young player in that offensive line room. In fact, I could hardly imagine a better leader for the Bears than Kyle Long.
He was originally a first-round pick by the Bears in 2013. He also made 3 Pro-Bowl with Chicago.
