Chase Claypool's future with the Chicago Bears appears uncertain.

Despite being fit, Claypool was notably absent from Sunday's match against the Denver Broncos. This exclusion followed his public concerns about the coaching team's ability to utilize him effectively.

Get Your Bears TicketsPost-game, the Bears clarified that Claypool was instructed to remain at home and not attend the game at Soldier Field. This statement seemed at odds with head coach Matt Eberflus' earlier comments, where he mentioned expecting Claypool at the training center on Monday.

However, circumstances appear to have taken a new turn.

During his appearance on ESPN 1000's Kap & J.Hood on Monday, Eberflus indicated that Claypool won't be joining the team's preparations against the Commanders this week.

In a nutshell: Claypool's journey with Chicago seems nearly over.

This isn't the first instance of Claypool's discord with the team. He faced backlash for his perceived lack of commitment during the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, an incident he later apologized for.

Speculations had already been circulating about the Bears considering trading Claypool before Sunday's game. Given the recent events, a trade now seems inevitable. The pressing concern is: Can the Bears get a worthy trade deal for him?

Recalling the Bears' 2023 second-round pick trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for Claypool, it's increasingly clear that this decision might not have been the best move for general manager Ryan Poles.
