The Jets suffered their third consecutive defeat on Sunday, losing 32-6 to their AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills. In this game, Wilson delivered a notably poor performance, completing a mere seven of his 15 pass attempts for 81 yards, achieving one touchdown and throwing an interception. He was also sacked five times. When ESPN's Rich Cimini highlighted to Saleh that Wilson didn't complete any passes to a wide receiver in the game, the head coach of the New York team was short on explanations.
"I don't have an answer for that," Saleh admitted, according to Tyler Lauletta from Sports Illustrated. "Obviously, we'll go back and watch all the tape... Whether it's about creating separation, being more decisive, or improving protection, like I said, none of it was good." Since being selected as the No. 2 pick in 2021, Wilson has completed just 59.2 percent of his passes, throwing for 1,944 yards with six touchdowns and seven interceptions.
