Joe Burrow Becomes the Highest Paid NFL Player of All Time after Agreeing to a New 5-year Deal
As revealed by insider Adam Schefter, Bengals QB Joe Burrow has agreed to a 5-year, $275M deal, which also makes him the highest paid player in NFL history
Burrow was the first overall pick back in 2020, and has changed the Bengals around.
Burrow's first season in the league was disappointing, and after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee, as well as damage to his PCL and meniscus, fans were worried that his career was over before it started.
Burrow then returned in 2021 after fully recovering, and made a splash right away. Against many odds, Burrow came back better then ever, and was soon seen as one of the best QBs in the NFL. He finished the 2021 season as the NFL completion percentage leader, as well as being named as the comeback player of the year.
Then in 2022, Burrow improved even more, and led his team to a 12-4 record. He was also named to the Pro Bowl, and was an MVP contender.
Now, Burrow is getting the big bucks, and the Bengals are going all in. This new deal is making history, and Burrow has a lot to live up to now.
