With the 2023 season coming up very soon, Bears fans should get ready for a new and exciting team, led by a QB who will be a danger to the NFL.
Bears QB, Justin Fields, is entering his 3rd year in the NFL. Not only has he received some new WRs to help out this year, but he is also entering this year with more knowledge, experience, and confidence.
Fields is a QB who has many similarities to Eagles QB, Jalen Hurts. When Hurts entered his 3rd year in the NFL, he was a changed player. Hurts' first 2 seasons in the league were a disappointment, with records like 1-3 and 8-7. Philly fans were not sure if Hurts was their guy, but then his 3rd year started, and we all know how that season went. Hurts led his team to a 14-1 record and a trip to the Super Bowl. Throwing for 22 touchdowns with rushing for 13, Hurts had himself in the MVP conversation.
So, as you see, Hurts is the real deal, but what is the similarity to Fields? Well, they are both extremely talented on the rushing side. Coming out of college, teams knew both of these guys to be quick on the run and the play action. What Hurts did to improve in his 3rd season was work on his passing, which is what we will see from Fields. QBs who can run and throw are the most talented in the league. It is very difficult to be a pocket passer in this generation, so by Fields already having the running game under control, all he needs is to create a better passing game.
