Gruden had a major victory in the suit Wednesday, May 25 when a Nevada district court ruled that the case could proceed in open court rather than through a confidential arbitration process. This will help Goodell tremendously.
Las Vegas attorney Sam Mirejovsky of the Sam & Ash Law Firm wrote this opinion on the case and shared it with Raider Maven exclusively:
"Gruden's lawsuit against the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell is the real deal."
The Super Bowl-winning coach, Jon Gruden is now facing Goodell and the NFL in court, alleging that the NFL deliberately leaked his private correspondence to destroy his career. Gruden's emails emerged as a byproduct of an NFL investigation into toxic work cultures at the Washington Commanders franchise.
This is huge. However, this incident, of course, is not the league's first problem when it comes to defending itself from legal action. In fact, they get so much practice that they have pretty much developed a tried and tested approach that they implement religiously.
It will be so much fun to follow...
