Legendary NFL Coach Reveals Interesting Scenarios for the Bears 2024 Draft

While on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," legendary NFL coach and sports analyst Jimmy Johnson spoke about the Bears choices for the 2024 pick.

The Bears have secured the number 1 overall pick for this upcoming draft. Some say to draft USC QB Caleb Williams with the number 1, while others say to stick with Justin Fields and draft a WR. Johnson revealed another possible scenario:

As heard, Johnson reveals how the Bears can instead "trade" the number 1 pick to acquire a lot more picks, or trade for current players, to build a great team to surround Fields. Instead of using the number 1, he believes the Bears may decide to get rid of it and use more picks instead.

Johnson did also say that the Bears may decide to use a more traditional approach, and draft Williams. This would mean that the Bears will be hoping the team they already have can support his talents. By drafting Williams, this means that they are putting all of their hope for this franchise in the hands of this young QB. This has not always worked out in the past, as Johnson points out, but the Bears are pretty old-school, so this may be their choice.
