"The Chicago Bears surprised a bunch of people earlier today when they got rid of long time lineman Charles Leno. After 93 consecutive starts and 7 straight years with the Bears, Leno now finds himself a free agent after being released. It was a salary cap move as the Bears have literally no cap room at the moment to sign any of their draft picks including the two linemen they took this year. Leno understands though, and he understands it's a business decision. He'll likely have no problem finding a job and had a special message to Bears' fans and a thank you to the organization. "2014 7th round draft pick93 consecutive starts in the past 7 seasons with the team that I was drafted to. My time in Chicago has officially come to an end. It's a bittersweet day but I am excited to see where this next chapter takes me.I will always be rooting for the young guys to succeed in the league. That was me years ago. This is just part of the business. Thanks Bears fans" "
