"In order for the Chicago Bears to become real contenders within the NFC North, they have to close the gap between themselves and the Green Bay Packers. They were able to score a big victory against their rivals to the north in the free agency market, which is a good start. The Packers are rarely ever aggressive when it comes to free agents, but they were big players on the market earlier this month by signing tight end Jimmy Graham and defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson in edition to signing Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller to an offer sheet. Green Bay was also one of the team trying to sign wide receiver Allen Robinson, who ended up inking a three-year, $42 million contract with the Bears. Robinson recently told Mike Kaye of First Coast News why he chose the Bears over the Packers, New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. "With all things being equal, Chicago was a place I had my eyes on from a football standpoint," Robinson said. "For me, going into the whole free agency process, Chicago was definitely a team I had my eye on, from the standpoint that they had just hired Coach [Matt] Nagy. Coach Nagy was a big part of it ... I'm a big fan of his system and his offense."Take that, Packers!"
