Matt Nagy Reveals Upcoming Plan For Justin Fields.
"It's no secret, Justin Fields is the future of the Chicago Bears but we'll have to go through a brief Andy Dalton era before hand. Head coach Matt Nagy has made it pretty clear that Dalton will start Week 1. So what exactly is the plan for Fields?Nagy revealed his blueprint for the next little while. "We know (Andy Dalton) can play in an NFL game. We got to be able to evaluate Justin and see where he's at. This is the time to do it."
The Bears' head coach added that Fields is going to get a very heavy workload during the offseason. «The only way we can evaluate is by seeing him play,» said Nagy, via Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times. «He's gotta get valuable reps.«We gotta be able to evaluate — that's the beauty of the preseason — but we also need these guys for Week 1. It's that Catch-22. You play somebody and all of a sudden they get hurt and go, �You dummy. Why'd you do that?' The other [side] is you don't play them and [people] say they need the reps.»What do you think of Nagy's plan?"
