MOCK DRAFT: Top NFL Analyst Predicts Bears Selecting Florida State Senior

The time has come for the "serious" mock drafts to start, and top NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah has revealed his prediction:

With the Bears first pick, Jeremiah went with one of the more common choices, having the team select USC QB Caleb Williams at number 1. But, with their 9th overall pick, Jeremiah predicts that the Bears will select Florida State edge rusher Jared Verse.

Verse started his college career in Albany, but transferred to Florida State ahead of the 2022 season.

After 39 games in college, Verse finishes with a total of 164 tackles, 31.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. He was also named as a 2-time first-team All-American, and a 2-time first-team All-ACC.

Jeremiah beleives for Verse to be the best power rusher in this years draft, someone he thinks will pair up well with Pro Bowler Montez Sweat.
