It was the call that resounded across the globe. And as it turns out, it may have been accurate after all.

With merely two minutes remaining in a tied game and the Kansas City Chiefs faced with a 3rd and 8 on the Philadelphia Eagles' 15-yard line, the latter desperately required a stop to have a reasonable chance of clinching a victory at Super Bowl LVII. It seemed as though they had gotten the necessary stop... until a yellow penalty flag was thrown on the field.

Philadelphia Eagles' cornerback, James Bradberry, was charged with defensive holding on Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver, Juju Smith-Schuster. The world was immediately abuzz with criticism over the dubious call.

Nobody desired to see the Super Bowl end on a controversial penalty, but a recent photo that has surfaced on Twitter suggests that the officials may have made the correct call.

While many were focused on Bradberry's left hand that seemed to be around Smyth Schuster's waist as they moved up the field, the photo shows that it was actually the right hand of the Eagles' corner that was clutching a handful of Juju's jersey as he started to run outside on his route. This unmistakably demonstrates that there was holding on to the play. Whether or not the penalty should have been called at that stage of the game or whether the officials should have continued to "let the teams play," as they had done throughout the entire game until that point, remains debatable.

Most fans would still prefer that the referees let this one slide, as it detracted from what was shaping up to be an epic finale to one of the all-time great Super Bowls.

Kansas City Chiefs fans, on the other hand, are grateful that the officials made the correct call for once.
