NFL Analyst Reveals What Will Happen to the Bears if they Trade for All-Pro DT Chris Jones in Comparison of Khalil Mack
In recent days, it has been heavily rumoured that the Bears are interested in trading for Chiefs All-Pro DT Chris Jones. Fans however, have been butting heads over the matter, as some see Jones as the perfect choice for the Bears missing piece, while other fans believe Jones to be washed up and not worth trading for.
During the discussions, NFL analyst Jacob Infante decided to chime in, via Twitter:
So, it looks like Infante wants Jones, and even compared him to superstar LB Khalil Mack, who is also a former Bear.
As most remember, Mack was traded to the Bears from the Raiders before the 2018 season. This trade flipped the Bears team around, as the team went from a 5-11 record from the previous season to a 12-4 record with Mack in the next.
Though Mack could not help the Bears win the Super Bowl, he still brought in a new energy that the team was missing. Injuries played a part in Mack's decline with the team, and even though he is no longer a Bear, fans remember what he brought to the team for the time being.
So, it looks like Infante is on to something, and this time, it could mean a championship. Jones is a different player than Mack, as he has won two Super Bowl's thus far in his career. He has also been around the game for much longer, and knows what it's like to lead a team.
If the Bears do acquire Jones, then I see this working out much better than the Mack era.
