NFL Insider Predicts Seahawks Will Trade For 1st Overall Pick And Use It To Make A Shocking Pick
As the Chicago Bears, owners of the first overall pick at this point, don't need a quarterback, the likelihood of a scenario where they trade out of the first pick increases.
Well, Doug Farrar reported that he thinks the Seattle Seahawks will make a trade for that pick, but he expects them to draft a defensive player, instead of a Qb.
Farrar seems to think Seattle could make this type of move work to get Georgia defensive tackle, Jalen Carter.
«Seattle would obviously have to be all in on Geno Smith for this to happen, and there are multiple reasons for them to be. The thing about Carter that puts him above most players at his position, college or pro, is the complete skill set. Carter can wind by blockers with estimable power, killer speed and quickness, and an impressive technique palette which should be even better with the benefit of NFL coaching.

I'm not so sure that trading a bunch of valuable assets to obtain the first pick just to draft a defensive lineman is a wise move, but if It helps the Chicago Bears, I'm all here for it!
