The Chicago Bears season opener is just a couple of hours away as we get closer to Sunday afternoon. Fans are excited and scared to see what exactly Andy Dalton brings to the team as the Week 1 starting QB. Some fans and analysts believe this might be the only game Dalton starts this year while others believe with Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace's jobs on the line this season he might start for at least half the season as they lean on a veteran QB. However one NFL scout doesn't even think it's debatable and Fields should be starting. Bears' insider Dan Pompei of The Athletic spoke to some scouts about the Bears roster and one scout in particular isn't a fan of the Bears' decision. «(Fields) He's very raw, especially when he has to sit in the pocket,» he said. «But he adds hope and excitement. Once he gets outside the pocket, he can pick up the first down even if everyone is covered.»«Dalton always has been a middle-of-the-road quarterback,» the scout said. «That's all he is. He's not good enough to get them over the hump. And he doesn't have the pieces around him to get him over. I was shocked they gave him $10 million. I don't think he had the market to overpay him like that. I didn't see anything that warranted that in Dallas (last season).»What do you think of his comments?
