Dr. Allen Sills, the Chief Medical Officer of the NFL, proclaimed on Friday that there will be a deliberation during the offseason regarding the "Hip-Drop Tackle."

This tackle entails a defender grasping the ball carrier from behind, pulling them to the ground while simultaneously lowering their own body weight. This maneuver resulted in a severe ankle injury to Cowboys Running Back, Tony Pollard. The "Hip-Drop Tackle" has already been banned by the National Rugby League in Australia.

Despite the NFL's attempts to promote safety, it is quite evident that the players believe that this tackle should not be banned. Jevon Holland of the Dolphins stated, "It's getting out of hand now." Trent Taylor of the Bengals expressed, "Absolutely ridiculous." Adrian Amos of the Packers tweeted, "They're about to have us getting dragged down the field like we're trying to tackle Spike from the Little Giants."
