No Mercy: Eberflus Gets Down To Business in Training Camp
The tone has shifted in Chicago as the Bears get down to training camp. While Matt Nagy worked hard to build a family-first atmosphere with the Bears and sought to keep things fun and light-hearted, Eberflus has dispelled any notion that he would continue in the same way.
Friday's first minicamp made it apparent that he is not messing around. Reporters at the camp said that they haven't seen such an intense practice from the Bears in years.
The core values of the Eberflus administration are Hustle, Intensity, Takeaways, and Smarts. He is setting the tone early with at least half of his team being fresh to the Bears from the draft and free agency. The new normal in Chicago is 100 percent all the time. If they aren't hustling they will be labelled a "loafer", too many loaf calls will result in them not being allowed to play. I am loving this new Bears administration, all we need now is Fields to step up and be what they hope he can be.
