Not So Safe at Safety

With the 2022 NFL Draft looming you begin to wonder what the Bears will do about our weakness at safety. Eddie Jackson will remain a starter but the strong safety position is vacant. DeAndre Houston-Carson and Dane Cruikshank are fighting for the spot but the Bears may look to the draft to fill the spot. From Penn State Jaquan Brisker may be what we are looking for, he already visited Halas Hall this week, and with Poles focused on the draft they could end up going with one of the most overlooked players in the draft. Eberflus has stated that one of the things he covets most in a player is the ability to do multiple things well. Since 2019 he has had a 91.6 PFF grade, 92.2 coverage grade, and 14 forced incompletions. I'd say he has a solid shot of the Bears picking him up.
