OJ Simpson Urges a Team to Trade for Lamar Jackson Following His Franchise Tagging
Former NFL running back OJ Simpson has voiced his desire for Lamar Jackson to join the Las Vegas Raiders.
Following the Baltimore Ravens' decision to franchise tag Jackson, other teams are now able to negotiate an offer sheet with him. While the Ravens have the right to match any offer, they can also let Jackson go and receive two first-round picks in return from the signing team.
Taking to Twitter, Simpson expressed his interest in seeing Jackson wearing the silver and black of the Raiders. Simpson's tweet came after the Raiders parted ways with Derek Carr, who has since signed with the New Orleans Saints. However, it remains to be seen whether the Raiders will take Simpson's advice and pursue Jackson.
