The Packers' Pro Bowl cornerback was upset after his team's ugly Week 1 loss in Minnesota. In addition to that, I'm sure it stung extra bad that WR Justin Jefferson humbled him and his secondary for 184 yards and 2 TDs. So, coming into this week against the Chicago Bears, he's already assuming an easy victory. Not only does he anticipate a shutout by his defense, but he also didn't mind firing a shot at Bears fans over their misery the past several years. When the 2020 All-Pro was asked about his perspective on the rivalry with Chicago, though, he couldn't resist throwing a little fuel on the fire and roasting the Bears and their fans for how the series has gone while he's been around (7-1 in the Packers' favor).
This is a strong statement from Alexander, and it will certainly be used as bulletin board material for the Bears (and their fanbase). While the Bears probably don't have a great shot at beating Green Bay this week, no one gave them a chance to beat the 49ers last week and we all know how that ended up. Jaire Alexander better be able to back up his trash talk, otherwise, he will certainly hear it from Chicago and their fans afterward.
