One player that we don't have to worry about on the line is G Cody Whitehair. He was selected in the second round, with the 56th overall pick by the Bears in the 2016 NFL draft. Whitehair started at left guard during the preseason. He was then moved to the starting center position after the team signed veteran guard Josh Sitton. He went on to start all 16 games at center and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
In 2018, Whitehair played every offensive snap and was named to the Pro Bowl, becoming the first Bears center since Olin Kreutz to play in the all-star game. He was the only Bears player on either side of the ball to participate in every down.
Sam Monson of PFF made a ranking of the Guards in the NFL. He ranked Whitehair in TIER 4: SOLID STARTERS.
Here is what he said on Whitehair:
I think this is a really fair assessment of him! Looking forward to, hopefully, seeing him thrive in a competent offense with real NFL coaches.
