On Monday night, a teenager was shot in the Anderson Township in Cincinnati, and Joe Mixon's home is reportedly "part of the crime scene." While the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Mixon's house is involved in the incident, they haven't disclosed whether the Bengals running back is connected to the shooting.
Although Mixon's sister, Shelonda, stated that he was not involved in the incident, police were seen knocking on the door of Mixon's house in a video shared by FOX19 reporter Chancelor Winn. The officers entered the residence early on Tuesday morning, and it is unclear whether Mixon was home at the time.
Mixon has been in legal trouble recently, having been accused in February of threatening a woman and pointing a gun at her. The charges were dropped last month. Police have not arrested anyone yet in connection with the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
"Seven rounds were shot because they were playing Nerf Wars and apparently went into one of the neighbour's yards back here, and that neighbour opened fire," said neighbour Tracy Schaeper.
