Prepare for this Three Headed Beast
By the end of the season, mark my words! The Chicago Bears will have one of the best if not the best running back rooms in the NFL. They currently have David Montgomery, Khalil Herbert, and rookie Trestan Ebner. Why is this? For one this is a run-first offense with hints of Kyle Shanahan's scheme. This scheme has a good track record of running backs succeeding in it.
Mostert, Breida, and Mitchell are a few to name that has shined within this offense. It is interesting that his father had successful running backs as well. These include Clinton Portis, Mike Anderson, Terrell Davis, and others. This system is a running back-friendly system.
A quick look at The Bear's running back room. The Chicago Bears have a very good back in David Montgomery who makes up in broken tackles and vision what he doesn't have in speed. Khalil Herbert is a very smooth one-cut runner and Ebner has a mean "make you miss" capability. I believe this running back room will be a strength of the Chicago Bears barring injury.
