Pro Football Focus Links Standout Running Back to the Chicago Bears Ahead of Free Agency this Offseason

During last year's offseason, there were many rumors around the Bears possibly trading for Giants RB Saquon Barkley. Though a deal never occurred, it may happen now.

For the first time in Barkley's career, he will now be entering free agency, and by the way he and the Giants started this past season, it is likely that he will be leaving the team.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Bears are one of the more likely candidates of landing Barkley this offseason:

The Bears have done a great job at creating cap space on the team, and though they have had success with their run-game this past season, they are still looking for a star.

This team is going through many changes, mainly with the offensive staff, and a fresh start with a new RB could help shape the Bears into a contender.
