REPORT: Justin Fields will be Stepping on the Field Much Earlier than We Expected!
As stated in a tweet by Bears columnist Brad Biggs, Bears QB Justin Fields will be starting in week 1 of the preseason, which is on Saturday:
This was confirmed by the Bears official website, where they also added in a quote from head coach Matt Eberflus:
Seeing Fields start the preseason is very exciting for fans, as they have been eagerly waiting to see him in a game all offseason. Some teams choose to not play their starting QB at all until the regular season, but the Bears are going in a different route,
Even though it is just a preseason game, Fields has a lot to prove, as the entire NFL world is expecting a lot from him. Improvement is one of them, and with this new star studded cast around him, it will be shocking if he does not show any sign of improvement.
This game will be a sneak peek into what the season could look like, so everyone is counting on Fields to put on a show out there!
