The Chicago Bears are shedding salary and are expected to shed more as they get closer to free agency. We've already seen Josh Sitton and Jerrell Freeman kicked out of town and it would be extremely surprising if Mike Glennon wasn't cut soon too. After Glennon, the Bears probably won't stop there as ESPN's Jeff Dickerson reports that Pernell McPhee is all but guaranteed to be cut. Dickerson reports that the Bears will probably give McPhee the opportunity to accept a pay cut to stay on, but he's likely played his last season as a Bear. The 29 year old's base salary sits at $7.2million and presents a potential $7million savings against the cap. The Bears simply can't justify keeping that cap hit for a player who's had numerous health issues and presents too many question marks considering he's only has 14 sacks with the team. The team could use his in your face locker room presence, but it comes with an unjustified cost. Do you think McPhee is gone?
