According to ESPN's Marc Silverman, there are many sources revealing that the Bears organization is not thrilled with the way Claypool presents himself. Silverman said:
After Claypool's rookie season back in 2020, most fans and viewers expected him to be a star, but it seems like every season we are left with disappointment. The Bears traded for him to bring in some new weapons for QB Justin Fields, but it seems like Claypool is not doing his job.
If Claypool is not motivated and willing to do the work, the Bears may want to reconsider their future with him. With new additions like DJ Moore and (some) rumours to signing Hopkins, the Bears should trade Claypool now, and add some missing pieces to different parts of the roster.
This upcoming season is supposed to be a big one for Chicago, so if Claypool is not up for the challenge, then it may be time to part ways.
