Retired Linebacker Making an NFL Comeback after Scamming Controversy

As reported by insider Tom Pelissero, former NFL linebacker Blake Martinez is attempting a comeback after retiring at the age of 28:

Martinez was originally drafted by the Packers in 2016, and went on to also play for the Giants and Raiders, until retiring in 2022.

Martinez left football to pursue a career in selling Pokemon cards, which he was doing as a side hustle during his career. The business was going well for a while, until he was exposed for scamming his buyers back in August.

The scam was caught on video and Martinez was then banned by the marketplace "Whatnot," making him unable to continue selling.

After this news came about, Martinez has been unable to get back into the cards game, and now, it looks like he wants his old job back.
