Before the 2023 season, it was announced that Peterman would serve as the teams QB2, which surprised fans, as rookie QB Tyson Bagent had a fantastic preseason, but was demoted to QB3.
Now, after this news was announced, it looks Bagent will finally be able to suit up, and be there if Justin Fields cannot play.
Peterman signed with the Bears in 2022, and has been apart of the team since, well, until now. He has however been released one time before, but was then re-signed a few days later.
The same thing could be happening this time, but it would be odd to see it a second time.
Anyways, Bagent will now serve as the backup, and if the Bears need him, he will be ready.
