Daniel Greenberg reported that Bears GM Ryan Poles said that they love the style that LB Matthew Adams plays on the field and they are looking forward to also seeing him compete on special teams.

Matthew Adams played 4 seasons with the Colts. He recorded 44 total tackles. He is a former seventh-round pick, is 6 feet tall and weighs 230 pounds. A big presence in the middle of the field. HC Matt Eberlfus is very familiar with his playing style and he deemed Adams a good enough player to bring him in! As Poles mentioned, Adams is an amazing special team player as well. Check out this game-changing play he made versus the Patriots last year. Keep in mind that the Patriots are known to have the best special team units year in and year out.

Ryan Poles also added that TE Ryan Griffin adds toughness and a gritty style of play to the team.

I agree 100% with him. Griffin is known to be an excellent blocker at the tight end position. Honestly, this is the most important aspect since he probably won't be asked to catch the ball a lot behind Cole Kmet. This means that most of his playing time will come as a run blocker.

Griffin, 32 played for the Houston Texans from 2013 to 2018 and the New York Jets from 2019 to 2021. He played in 119 games and started 67 of them. In 12 starts last year, he had 261 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. While those stats are far from spectacular, he could provide solid veteran help and be a reliable goal-line target for QB Justin Fields as well.
