The former seven-time Pro Bowler texted: «I'm ready,» «I'm in shape. My timing is on point - I'm proud of that.»
Thomas turns 33 in May and is a former first-round pick by the Seahawks back in 2010. Later on, he signed a 4-year $55 million contract with the Ravens but was cut after just one season after punching a teammate during practice.
During his last season, he appeared in 15 games for the Ravens and recorded 49 total tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 interceptions.
Could he be an option for the Bears? We highly doubt the Bears would be interested in Thomas. Although he would bring a veteran presence in the secondary and be a good presence for safety Eddie Jackson, he is an older player towards the end of his career. This is not the type of player you want on a rebuilding team. The fight with a teammate also makes us question his character and leadership although these things happen. It will be interesting to watch where he lands in 2022.
