There's plenty of breakout candidates on the 2018 Chicago Bears, which is always a good thing. One of the main ones was drafted in the second round of the 2018 draft, wide receiver Anthony Miller. While former first round pick Kevin White is still looking to establish himself among the receiver group, Miller could easily end the season as the Bears second or third receiver on the depth chart. Something that's going to help Miller is the fact that he's currently found a mentor and friend in one of the most consistent receivers in today's modern era, Steve Smith. Smith connected with Miller before the NFL Draft Combine and has been in constant communication with him ever since. Smith believes Miller has the drive and work ethic to make a name for himself in the league. "What I loved about Anthony is that he worked his butt off. He got better each year. Even though he wasn't at a top-tier school, he had a top-tier work ethic. He did things you don't expect from a guy of his stature. And he did those things eagerly, it seemed. It was really cool to watch that progress on film. Now I'm excited to see him in Chicago with a great offensive-minded coach, a stable quarterback and hunger in the receivers he has around him."Smith, always a hard worker isn't just handing out praise and building Miller up without also giving him a dose of reality at the same time. "I see the hunger. But we also know this league. Guys don't stick around. Not for long. And you're not great after three years. So listen, I'm not trying to take anything away from Anthony. But I also can't sit here and say he's going to become one of the best when technically he hasn't registered a catch in the regular season. But I look forward to him registering multiple catches in the regular season. We just have to get there and see it now."
