Via Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, all options are on the table for Leatherwood, the 17th overall pick in the 2021 draft.
Those options include leaving him at tackle, moving him to guard, trading him, or cutting him.
Cutting him would be far from ideal. He has a fully-guaranteed contract through 2024. The Raiders probably would have to pay some of that money to finagle a trade.
It was also reported that the current Raiders decision-makers have no ties to Leatherwood and have made it clear their decision on the final 53-man roster will be predicated on performance and fit rather than financial obligations, draft status or experience.
I feel like the Bears could be a candidate for him. I know that Leatherwood's career has been off to a horrible start so far, but I think the talent is clearly still there. He was a first-rounder last season, after all...
