Jaylon Johnson and Kindle Vildor have both been placed on injured reserve. They will miss Saturday's game against the Bills as well as the final two games of the regular season.
The reason Johnson has been placed on IR is actually due to a ring finger injury.
With Johnson and Vildor done for the season, that leaves the Bears with rookie Kyler Gordon and undrafted rookies Jaylon Jones and Josh Blackwell. Harrison Hand and Breon Borders, who have been practice squad mainstays, have been signed to the active roster.
Johnson, a second-round draft pick in 2020, had seven pass breakups in 11 games.
As for the Bears, they have now lost a franchise-record 8 games in a row and they are currently pretty locked in to have the second overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
