In the NFL, the salary cap plays such a huge part in the success of a team in the long run. I could make a case that this is almost the most important aspect of a team's success.
Well, the bears possibly struck gold this off-season when they signed C Lucas Patrick.
His contract is a 2-year deal, worth $8 million, including $4 million guaranteed. This ranks 12th among free-agent linemen. I went and looked at the list of free-agent linemen this off-season and I could not find 12 players better than Patrick.
Well, it looks like I'm not the only one that believes this contract is a "steal" for the Beras. Check out this "all underpaid offense":
As you can see, Patrick is, rightfully so, on this list!
We have heard nothing but great stuff about him ever since he got signed. The stats say he is a great player and the interview are flawless. Patrick could really become a fan favorite for a while in Chicago.
