Nick Korte, who works for overthecap made some calculations of each team's UDFA spots. He used an arithmetic of 90 - ([number of players currently on the roster] + [number of draft picks])
He called this number Open UDFA Roster Spots.
Here were the results:
1. CHICAGO (21)T-2. IND/LAC (19)4. CIN (18)T-5. BAL/TB (17)T-7. MIA/WAS/BUF/DAL (16)T-11. CLE/ARI/LAR/GB (15)T-15. DEN/TEN/LV (14)
This is huge for GM Ryan Poles. He will be able to take multiple shots on players when the draft ends. We have been hearing for months now that this draft is very balanced and deep in talent. Hopefully, with that in mind, Poles will be able to sign a lot of qualified players that will compete for a spot on the roster.
