"The Chicago Bears have a new head coach and a new offensive coordinator and according to new head coach Matt Nagy, we can expect some big changes.
Nagy appeared on 670AM recently and mentioned that there will be a kind of complete overhaul of the Bears offense and new OC Mark Helfrich will have a big part in it.
«I was really intrigued by the stuff (at Oregon),» Nagy said. «I was intrigued talking to Mark, just some of our philosophies and him, obviously, knowing what we do offensively and being able to kind of get to a point where we can mesh some things together and see how it works.»

That means that Mitch Trubisky will probably have to start from zero and scrap almost everything he learned last year playbook wise. Nagy knows it won't be easy for Trubisky and might take some time, but it'll be ready for the long run.
«We have to make sure as a staff, and I have to make sure as the staff learns, that we just really keep it simple,» he said. «We get good at the fundamentals. And then as we perfect that part of the game, now we can add on.»
«So this is going to take time. We have to understand that and be patient as a staff. But as long as we do that and we have a method to the madness of teaching it — but yet still being able to keep some creativity and what I like to call ‘fun plays' in there — we'll be OK.»
Nagy believes the coaching staff he's brought in will make the transition successful.
«We brought a lot of good guys in here who are going to have a lot of good ideas,» Nagy said. «We just need to hone it all together and just get grinding.»
