The Dolphins might add a former Patriot QB
With the uncertainty surrounding Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins might turn to a former New England Patriots QB.
The number of injuries in the NFL in 2024 is very impressive. Several star players are already sidelined for many weeks. Some teams, like the Miami Dolphins, have lost one of their most important players. Without a reliable backup, the Dolphins might try to find another solution to their quarterback problem by trading for Mac Jones.
Despite his ordinary season last year, Mac Jones remains an interesting option for Miami, which finds itself without a QB to lead the offense. They could reunite him with his University of Alabama teammate, Jaylen Waddle. Additionally, Miami, which already has a lot of offensive talent, would greatly help Mac Jones compared to the Patriots' offense. This would not be a high cost for the Dolphins, who need to evaluate their options as quickly as possible to replace Tua Tagovailoa.
Another interesting option could be former Dolphins player Ryan Tannehill. He is still a free agent and could definitely help moving forward. The 36-year-old man spent the last five years with the Tennessee Titans. He threw for 33 touchdown passes in 2023 and made the Pro Bowl in 2019. Tannehill has certainly shown some signs of slowing down over the past few years, but he can definitely fill in during Tua Tagovailoa's absence at the Dolphins.
