A sequel series to the beloved "Blue Mountain State" is currently in development, stirring up excitement among fans. Originally airing on Spike in 2010 for three seasons, the show chronicled the antics of a fictional university's football team, gaining a dedicated following after its addition to Netflix.

According to Deadline, both Amazon and Netflix are vying to host the sequel series, with the return of three original actors confirmed and more likely to join soon.

Former Texas A&M star and 2012 Heisman winner, Johnny Manziel, has expressed keen interest in being part of the revival. "I wanna be in this in the worst way. Blue Mountain State 4eva," Manziel shared on X, noting that his own experiences with partying and excess during and after his college days could seamlessly fit into the show's narrative.

Deadline also reveals that the sequel will maintain the cult-classic's signature blend of over-the-top college football antics and wild partying, with Alan Ritchson set to reprise his role as Thad Castle, leading the charge once again.
