The Stakes of a Stake-less Game

The week 18 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears doesn't have too many implications for the rest of the season for either team. The Vikings would be playing for an improbable 2nd seed, and the Bears have more to gain from losing than winning, as a loss and a Texans win would give us the 1st seed in the draft. Although a final parting gift from Lovie in the form of the top pick does sound nice, it would also be nice to etch out one more win for the last game.
The main question is going to be whether Minnesota decides to rest the starters and save them from playoffs or they go full steam ahead to finish out strong.
Our beloved Bears however only have the 1 pick at stake, and with Fields out this week we just might get it. Not to say it would be ideal to lose again but also, maybe it's for the best. Either way, after this week we have a lot of work to do for next year.
