Former Bears running back Matt Forte has been overlooked for all his career. He never truly got the credit he deserved. He was an incredibly reliable, unselfish and durable player.

For this article, let's look at his Pro Bowl snub in 2014. Forte had a monster year and still didn't get invited. Although the Pro Bowl was never the greatest game, being named to a Pro Bowl was something special that helped a player's legacy and even future contract negotiations. It is certainly a big deal for these guys.

Here are Forte's stats in 2014:

1038 rushing yard6 rushing touchdowns102 receptions808 receiving yards3 receiving touchdowns

In front of him on the NFC's Pro Bowl roster, Doug Martin was named with 200 fewer yards and 2 fewer touchdowns. The same goes for Devonta Freeman who had 200 yards less than Forte. Finally, Lesean Mccoy had also 400 yards less than Matt and was on the team.

Matt Forte was not only a more complete player than these guys mentioned, but he also had a far and away better season than them. The Bears' running back was very angry at the selections, as he should be. It was a long time ago but the fact that Forte got robbed so badly is still shocking and very frustrating.
